What a cruel weekend of Golf did I endure? Through Friday night, things were rocking, with me around 1200 in a contest that paid to the top 2400 teams. True, Graham DeLaet missed the cut, but my other five guys were there and my finish going into the weekend felt strong enough. And, it was, except out of nowhere Jon Rahm and Matt Kuchar did not finish round three thanks to horrible scores (82 and 81 respectively) while David Hearn finished the weekend with an 80 and then 79 to go nine over. Although, once Rahm and Kuchar bailed, nothing really mattered anyway.
This week we are off to the Byron Nelson Classic, being held at TPC Four Seasons, in Irving, Texas, just outside of Dallas. Remember that you can match up against me at the DraftKings Weekly Hybrid PGA.
Dustin Johnson ($12,500): Dustin has finished in the top ten four of his last six times, and is averaging a monster 86.2 points per week.
Matt Kuchar ($8700): Despite the meltdown last week, I will go with the generally steady Matt and his 65.5 points per week.
J.B. Holmes ($7900): Holmes has finished the weekend nine of ten times this season and is averaging 67.7 points per week.
J.J. Spaun ($7300): Spaun has made nine cuts out of twelve tries, including three top-tens, and averages 66.1 points, making him a nice low-end gambit.
Danny Lee ($7100): TPC Four Seasons is basically Lee's home course, posting three top-20's and the Nelson while 13 of his 18 rounds there have been under.
Anirban Lahiri ($6400): If you want a top player, you need to adjust around him with the lower priced spread, and Lahiri, who has made eight of 11 with a pair of top tens, makes a good target. These are not the guys who have been killing me anyway.
