As in previous years, the season will be broken into monthly contests with the top three point getters each cycle moving onto a Championship round the final month of the year.
So, again I will be previewing a couple of my picks each week in the contest, and we will both tweet the link so you can track, but also every week the Touts favorite selections will be published on the site each Friday morning.
Furthermore, each Wednesday, "Fout Wars" will return. If you remember from the football season, we followed the Tout Weekly results there in virtual real estate which gives a nod to the former Chargers QB.
So, follow Todd Zola, Jeff Erickson, Lenny Melnick, Jake Ciely, Patrick Mayo, Tristan Cockcroft, and others.
Clayton Kershaw ($13,500): Facing the Diamondbacks at home, Kershaw is expensive, but the Snakes have among the lowest walk rates (7.4%) and highest strikeout rates (24%) in the Majors thus far. Over 91 at-bats against lefties, Arizona is hitting .220-2-10. Advantage Clayton.
Yunel Escobar ($3100): Escobar has come out of the blocks hot, hitting .366-1-4 over his first 41 at-bats, following consecutive .300 seasons. The right-handed hitter gets to face lefty Danny Duffy at home, and for $3100, a single and a walk mean a profit. And, if anyone can do that, it is Escobar.
Don't forget, you can hit me up @lawrmichaels and also feel free to comment, flatter, cajole, ridicule, bewitch, bother, and bewilder in the comments section below.
