With a fully loaded ten-game slate for Thursday night, two-thirds of the league is in action, and that means many more options for us to choose from. Every game but the Arizona Coyotes traveling to Buffalo holds some sort of possible playoff implication, and a few middle-weight fights are on the docket with the Rangers visiting Boston and Montreal hosting the Nashville Predators to name a few. But let’s go over a few prime choices for DFS consideration tonight.
Filip Forsberg ($6700, Nashville Predators): There is no hotter player in the NHL right now, except maybe Nikita Kucherov. Forsberg has ten goals and four helpers in the Preds last seven games. Tonight, he faces a struggling Montreal team that’s 5-5 in their last ten games and hasn’t had a regulation win in over a month. In the meantime, Nashville is 6-3-1 in their last ten and has won five of their last six, including four straight, so play Forsberg with confidence.
Brad Marchand ($7300, Boston Bruins): Another skater firing on all cylinders is Marchand, with three goals and eight points in the Bruins last three games. Pay the price for him. Boston has been red hot under new head coach Bruce Cassidy, going 7-1-0 since his takeover. This game against the New York Rangers is pretty evenly matched in special teams with the Bruins power play clicking along at an even 20%., while the Rangers PK is holding fast at 80.64%.
Alex Galchenyuk ($5900, Montreal Canadiens): With goals in three straight contests, Alex has gotten his game legs back after missing 20 games. Montreal is just 5-5 over their last ten, as mentioned above, but they are still floating around the .500 mark during that period. This game in Montreal against Nashville has All-Stars all over the ice, and I’m expecting the over to be covered regardless of whether Carey Price is in net.
