The NHL has given us eight games to watch tonight, and more than one has all the makings of a high scoring affair. Winnipeg visiting Pittsburgh will have an over/under of minimum 5.5, while Philadelphia visiting Edmonton looks to produce similar results.  There is also a Battle of the Boroughs tonight with the New York Rangers heading to Brooklyn to face the New York Islanders, but let’s get to the DFS picks for tonight’s action.

Anders Lee ($5500, New York Islanders): With four goals and nine points over his last six games, Lee has been one of the hotter players since the All-Star break. The Islanders are 6-2-2 over their last ten and one point out of a Wild Card spot. The Rangers currently hold down the first Wild Card spot and are 8-2-0 over their last ten. They have a firm hold on that Wild Card spot with 73 points, 13 more than the Islanders and 12 more than Philadelphia and Toronto. Lee has been playing with uber-center Jonathan Tavares, which puts a smile on everyone’s face and stat sheet.

Sidney Crosby ($8600, Pittsburgh Penguins): Always near the top of the pricing in DFS, Crosby is in a mini goal drought, but hosting the Winnipeg Jets tonight will cure that. Sid also sits on point 999 for his career, and I’ll bet my entire 401K that he gets to 1000 tonight. The Jets' Save Percentage is 25th in the league, while Pittsburgh’s is tops in the league in goals with 197 on the season, which is 3.58 goals per game on average.

Martin Hanzal ($4800, Arizona Coyotes): Hanzal has scored goals in each of the Coyotes' last three games, and remains one of the few bright spots on this young and slowly improving roster. With the trade deadline approaching, Hanzal is boosting his stock each night, and will continue that tonight, even if it’s just shots on goal with 16 over his last five games, including eight SOG at San Jose a few games back.
