It is a new year, and though that does not guarantee success at fantasy anything, however, with the PGA Tour picking up, it sure gives us a chance to test our mettle, and truly, DFS golf is just as daunting as hitting the links in person.
The tour does go to lovely Kapalua, in Maui, a great place to be and a great time to be there especially if you hail from a more frigid portion of the country.
So, this week to the Plantation we go, with another week in the islands looming. So, let's see who I think can do it this time around. (And don't forget you can duke it out against me and cut your chops playing $3 DraftKings Weekly Hybrid PGA).
Dustin Johnson ($11,200): Dustin is a big hitter who usually survives the weekend, average 88.5 points over 22 tourneys last year.
Bubba Watson ($9200): Hard to not like Bubba, a big hitter, in this environment. Similarly, Bubba averages 71.6, and also seems to always play come Sunday.
Jimmy Walker ($7800): Walker plays a smart game, and he does average a solid 70.6 points per contest. He is kind snoozing as in not really a sleeper, for he is hardly under the radar.
James Dufner ($7400): Another big hitter, but one who plays smart, Dufner averages 66.8 points and has missed the cut just three times.
Pat Perez ($7100): Looking for a nice start of the year from Perez, who also can drive the ball. He is hit and miss, but I am guessing in mellow Maui, he will respond.
Cody Gribble ($6800): Rookie Gribble busted out all over with an 85.1 points over his first five tourneys. Kapalua is waiting bud!
Do remember to keep fantasy open and regulated and fair for all by writing your local lawmakers and tell them of your love of playing and desire to keep on playing. Visit the FSTA site for more information (and thanks).
