Ugh, a tough week at Deutsche Bank with Bubba Watson failing to make the cut for the first time this season, meaning my team dropped like a boat anchor in the standings.
But, this week we move to Crooked Stick, in Carmel, Indiana. Remember you can play against me and cut your chops playing $3 DraftKings Weekly Hybrid PGA. As for my picks, this week I looked hard at trying to both split the difference, picking golfers in the middle price range, but also trying to grab players who had been successful at this course in the past.
Rory McIlroy ($11,900): Coming off a win at the Deutsche Bank, and last year's BMW winner, I am down with Rory this week, who is averaging 81.8 points per week.
Sergio Garcia ($9500): Garcia played all last weekend, and finished 24th last tourney at Crooked Stick. The Spaniard has 15 of 17 cuts, and averages 74.1 points per week.
Phil Mickelson ($8800): OK, sentimental, as Phil has been somewhat up and down, finishing the weekend 14 of 20 times. But, Phil is well priced, and he finished second in his last foray to Crooked Stick, so I am happy to be sentimental.
Jamie Lovemark ($6900): Lovemark struggled his last round last week but in general has played well, averaging 57.7 points per week, pretty good for a lower end gamble.
James Hahn ($6500): Coming off a fifth place finish at Deutsche Bank, Hahn is 15 for 25 making the cut, so the hot club gets the eyeballs and the gamble.
Roberto Castro ($6300): Scoring a solid 62.5 points a week on average--very good for a low end play--and Castro is 20 of 25 playing the full weekend. I am gambling he will this week.
