Here are my top selections for the Mastersball Daily 50-50 GPP contest at RealTime Fantasy Sports for Monday, August 8. As always, $135 in prizes are available for just a $5 entry fee. Do not delay joining, as the Mastersball contests are again very popular in 2016.

Detroit’s Michael Fulmer ($6900) has placed his name in the hat for the American League Rookie of the Year Award with a consistent performance that has averaged 11.67 points over his 17 starts this season. On Monday night, the 23-year-old right-hander pitches at Seattle. Oddly, in his first season in the bigs, this will be Fulmer’s 13th of 18 starts away from home, where he is 7-2 with a 2.88 ERA. A definite road warrior.

If you want to save money for some big guns, check out bargain catcher Yasmani Grandal ($3500). The Dodgers backstop hit seven home runs last month with a 1.132 OPS and is currently working on a seven-game hitting streak. On Monday’s home date, he and his mates draw the day’s lowest-priced starting pitcher, Philadelphia’s Zach Elfin, who has been gored for 13 earned runs over his last two starts.
