With a full schedule today, finding players to build a winning team should not be too difficult. My first starting pitcher is Marcus Stroman ($7,800), playing on the home turf and reasonably priced.
Steven Wright ($6,800) is underrated and at a very good price. He is my choice for the second hurler.
I am going to suggest a third pitcher, just in case one of the above two games is postponed. That happened last week and I did not have an alternate. So here it is, Tom Koehler ($5,300), fresh off a very good outing last week.
If we go with these pitchers, our budget for the offense should be in good shape. Let’s spend some of that dough on Albert Pujols ($5,100) and Mike Trout ($6,800).
On the lookout for inexpensive hitters, note that Justin Turner ($4,200) has been hot recently and that Max Kepler ($3,100) has not disappointed since his promotion to the Majors.
