Do not delay joining, as the Mastersball contests are again very popular in 2016.
Matt Carpenter ($5400) is the game’s quietest star. With four contests remaining in the month, St. Louis’ third baseman is batting .377 with an MLB-best .506 on-base percentage in June. On Sunday, Carpenter hit two home runs and barely missed a third, having to settle for a triple. He draws Danny Duffy, who hasn’t lasted beyond five innings in either of this last two starts, in Kansas City Monday night.
Adam Wainwright ($7400) was off to a terrible start in April, but since May 1 has thrown quality starts in seven of his nine, including the last four straight. The veteran right-hander will oppose the Royals in KC on Monday night, where he is 4-0 with a 2.72 career ERA.
