After being swept in two straight home series, the stumbling St. Louis Cardinals have fallen to 12 ½ games behind the Chicago Cubs and move to Wrigley for three starting on Monday night. John Lackey will be facing his old Cards teammates for the third time this season, with a 1.93 ERA and 20 strikeouts against just two walks in 14 innings so far. Expect more of the same. Instead of taking Kershaw, Bumgarner or Strasburg, at just $7500, Lackey can give you two grand back to beef up your offense.
Prior to his day off Sunday, Miami first baseman Justin Bour ($4800) had seven hits in his last four games, including a home run and four RBI. The Fish are at home facing the Rockies and starter Jorge De La Rosa, who is carrying a 7.61 ERA into his Monday start.
Update: As my collegue Todd Zola points out, Bour often sits against lefties, and that is the case tonight, with Chris Johnson getting the start at first base instead. Two sets of eyes are always better than one. Thanks, Lord Z!
