Accessible from our front page at noon each day and updated before first-pitch, let’s put the projections to use at RealTime Sports, specifically the Mastersball Daily 50-50 GPP contest with $135 in prizes available for just a $5 entry fee. Do not delay joining, as the Mastersball contests are again very popular in 2016.
Today, let’s break the bank by going with the most expensive starting pitchers, led by Jake Arrieta ($9,800), who is at home against the Dodgers. The two next most expensive pitchers, Jose Fernandez ($9,600) and Gerrit Cole ($9,300) are both valid choices for the second starter, but I have concerns about selecting either one. They face each other, making it difficult to forecast a winner. Hence, I am going with Corey Kluber ($8,900), the fourth-ranked pitcher.
Selecting the offense is never easy. Ian Kinsler ($5,100) and Edwin Encarnacion ($6,200) are expensive, but promising. If salary budget is a problem, the hot-hitting Danny Valencia ($4,400) and Khris Davis ($4,500) have an interesting price.
