As we scream towards Memorial Day and the first big time season milepost for players in season-long contests, in the DFS world, this means nothing. And, that means you can try to lick me at RealTime's weekly "Beat the Experts" contest, where you get a chance to outsmart 198 other DFS players and me (no entry fee with a $2 payout if you can beat my score).

To start, if you have plays in Cincy, check the weather as there is rain anticipated at the Great American Ball Park.

Friday gives us some fun match-ups, with hitting being the focus with just a few aces (Jake Arrieta $9800, Corey Kluber $9300, Gerrit Cole $9200) taking the mound.

But, looking for points to both beat my challengers and also as part of the Tout Wars DFS, I am going with Aaron Nola ($6900) facing the offensively anemic Braves, and an underated fave, Hector Santiago ($6100), fresh off a dominant performance (eight innings, five whiffs, no earned runs) against the Mariners, tonight facing the Orioles at home.

Spending just $13,000 out of my total budget on pitching allows for a lot of hitting, and I am happy to exploit two Padres--Matt Kemp ($5200) and Derek Norris ($3400) going against lefty Scott Kazmir at home. I also like Michael Conforto ($5200) facing Wily Peralta and his 7.03 ERA.

Remember that if you are struggling to make DFS baseball work for you, try Todd's fantastic new Daily Rankings which break down his best picks and can be tweaked to match the contest you are playing. This is a Platinum only feature.

And, don't forget, you can hit me up @lawrmichaels and also feel free to comment, flatter, cajole, ridicule, bewitch, bother, and bewilder in the comments section below.
