On Tuesday, I will be ready to take you on from my regular spot - the Mastersball Daily 50-50 GPP contest with $90 in prizes available for just a $5 entry fee. Do not delay joining, as the Mastersball contests continue to be very popular.
Here are a couple of my picks.
Tyson Ross ($8100) draws the going-nowhere Milwaukee Brewers at Petco Park. San Diego’s 28-year-old is pitching his best ball of the season in September, with a 2.52 ERA over four starts and 29 strikeouts in 25 innings. With little offense behind him, however, he has no wins to show for it – yet. I think that will change Tuesday.
The eyes that aren’t watching Washington’s dugout for in-game fireworks are checking out the Cardinals-Pirates series in the Steel City as the two teams with MLB’s best records face off with the Central Division at stake. If you are looking to save money at shortstop, check out the Bucs’ Jordy Mercer ($3100). Since Jung Ho Kang was lost for the season with a left knee injury almost two weeks ago, Mercer has stepped in nicely, hitting .341 (14-for-41) in his last 11 games.
