It looks to be a beautiful Sunday, with not just a full complement of contests at the Mastersball Daily 50-50 GPP but with great late summer weather all around.
At this point of the season, it is nearly impossible to let go of Clayton Kershaw ($9900), not so much just because he is the best pitcher on the planet, but because the chances are a lot of my opponents will also take him, so Kershaw becomes a point machine to simply keep pace with the rest of the Challenge.
As a second starter, however, I went with Jordan Zimmermann ($8000) going against the Brewers, thinking the percentages are still with a strong hurler against a weaker hitting team.
For hitters, since it is Sunday at Coors, I took the Mets' Wilmer Flores ($3600) and gambled a wad on Yoenis Cespedes ($5200), two days removed from a monster game, and one day from an off day, thinking the altitude and hype will combine for a homer or a couple of hits or something.
