We have a 10-game slate on Monday at the Mastersball 50/50 Challenge with a very narrow pitching selection. Seems like every team used their ace on Sunday, leaving little for Monday.
Matt Harvey ($9000) has been up-and-down lately but appears to be the best option on the board. The Angels have liked what they have seen from Andrew Heaney ($5300) and will give him another start on Monday. Heaney has allowed only four earned runs in his first four starts of the year.
There are two areas that I am targeting for hitters on Monday. The first is the Seattle hitters going to Detroit to face Alfredo Simon. All Simon has done in his past five starts is allow at least five earned runs in each of them. Robinson Cano ($4700), Nelson Cruz ($6100) and Kyle Seager ($4800) lead the way.
The other must-have right now is Marlins outfielder Cole Gillespie ($1600). He has a five-game hitting streak and carries a minimum price. I do not expect the hitting streak of bottom-end price to last forever. So cash in while you can.
