FScore-160x320Happy 4th of July weekend to all. Looking over the Friday slate of games, only two pitchers pop out - Chris Archer ($9500) and Clayton Kershaw ($9400). I can’t make a case for anyone else if you are playing the Mastersball 50/50 Challenge.

With two expensive pitchers, we have to search deep for some bargain position players. Phillies second baseman Cesar Hernandez ($2100) is really doing the job in recent days, scoring at least five points in six straight games. Outfielder Alejandro De Aza ($2900) has found new life with the Red Sox (Remember early in the season when the Red Sox outfield was filled two-deep?), scoring at least three points in six straight games.

Don't forget you can play against the other Mastersballers and me at Fantasy Score, and you can follow me on Twitter @mastersballmarc.

While Archer's great, he has a tough matchup away at the Yankees, and is very pricy. Going with Wacha, with a much better matchup and costs $1000 less.

p - kershaw, wacha
c - joseph
1b - ortiz
2b - zobrist
3b - lamb
ss - tulowitski
of - blackmon, cain, peralta
