Today, FantasyScore Mastersball 50/50 Challenge presents an embarrassment of riches: too many good pitchers are starting. Since good translates to expensive, danger is lurking. There are too may temptations to spend and spend more. I cannot resist taking Madison Bumgarner ($9100) and David Price ($9200) even if the latter is not at home. Home starters are generally my preference.
Ouch, that’s a lot of moolah just for two pitchers. Picking inexpensive batters is easier said than done. I would go with a few Yankees going against Sean O'Sullivan, like Alex Rodriguez ($4800). I would then complement the team with some Brewers hitters, with Milwaukee facing the Mets at home. Consider Adam Lind ($4700) and Ryan Braun ($5300).
Brock Holt ($3900) has been hot recently. He could be used to plug a hole in your lineup should you need an inexpensive outfielder.
Don't forget that you can indeed match up against the Mastersballers at FantasyScore.
