On Thursday, I will be ready to take you on from my regular spot - the Mastersball Daily 50-50 GPP contest with $135 in prizes available for just a $5 entry fee. Do not delay joining, as the Mastersball contests continue to quickly fill up each day.
Here are a couple of my picks.
Though Chris Archer ($9600) may be the best of a middle-of-the-pack pitching field on Thursday, I favor Pittsburgh’s Gerrit Cole ($9200). While both are on the road, I like Cole’s chances against the White Sox better than the Rays starter’s outlook at Nationals Park. The Bucs’ star is on a roll, having allowed just one June run over 20 innings pitched.
I bought Brandon Crawford ($4900) as my final hitter in NL Tout this spring and the Giants shortstop has arguably been my biggest offensive contributor. San Francisco is in Seattle Thursday night with lefty Mike Montgomery making the start. The left-handed hitting Crawford has been doing considerable damage against left-handed pitching with a 1.076 OPS this season. His success does not appear to be a fluke, as his .879 OPS vs. LHP in 2014 affirms.
