These computers are fussy things. I have a tendency to pick a cursory roster for my Mastersball 50/50 Challenge team in the evening when I play, then review more closely the next morning, tweak, and write this piece.
Which is indeed what I did yesterday morning, a bit hurried as I had a 9:10 tee time with my friends Eric, Dave, and Scott.
Well, of course in the middle of my posting suddenly my laptop rebooted for a Windows update, and the truth is, that really did not cause any problems. However, I did not save the FantasyScore updated roster (with Kolten Wong, Carlos Santana, and Matt Carpenter, among others) so instead of a nice in the middle-of-the-pack finish, we were down at the bottom.
So, do indeed double check this stuff and don't make that rookie mistake!
Anyway, there are indeed a couple of pitchers I do favor today, and topping my list is A.J. Burnett ($7500) going against the Phils, pairing him with Corey Kluber ($8500) against the Tigers. Of course Chris Sale ($8300), Sonny Gray ($8800), and Max Scherzer ($9400) are all reasonable picks, and at the bottom end, Alfredo Simon ($6200) and Eduardo Rodriguez ($5800) could be fine plays.
Because there are a lot of good pitchers, but in looking at the matchups I favor the ever steady Shin-Soo Choo ($4100), Avisail Garcia ($4100), and rounding out my outfield Giancarlo Stanton ($6100) to drive my (definitely saved) squad into some redemption from yesterday's screw-up.
Don't forget that you can indeed match up against the Mastersballers at FantasyScore.
