There is a full complement of games, plus today, with a good half-dozen beginning before 4:00 PM, Eastern and including a Red Sox Twins doubleheader with the Twins, so lots of options at the Mastersball 50/50 Challenge. Do check your rosters and picks due to the early starts, the twin-bill, and also the rain potential in Colorado and Kansas City.
There are some interesting pitching choices today, with Corey Kluber ($8800) facing the Tribe, and Cole Hamels ($7900) again going against the Reds while Sonny Gray ($8300) gets the Tigers and Chris Sale ($7900) the Rangers.
But, I am going with the strikeout guy in the pitcher's park against a team with some hitting issues, and that would be James Shields ($7400) against the Mets, but, if you really want to build an offensive dynamo, you might add in the Angels Hector Santiago ($4800) going against the Rays. Santiago has been really great this year with his 4-3, 2.18 record with 57 punchouts over 62 frames, so that the Rays, with the sixth most whiffs collected this year, make likely victims.
Hitting wise I am liking the right-handed bats of the Nationals against Mark Buehrle, so Ian Desmond ($4300) and Ryan Zimmerman ($4200) are on my roster, as are a couple of Athletics, Ben Zobrist ($3700) and Josh Reddick ($3900) agains the ever vulnerable Anibal Sanchez.
Don't forget that you can indeed match up against the Mastersballers at FantasyScore.
