Working through the Saturday party at the Mastersball 50/50 Challenge I am looking first at starting pitching, and it is very tough to ignore Michael Wacha ($7800) and Tyson Ross ($6800) atop the heap. If you do purchase Wacha, keep an eye on the weather map, though, as rain is anticipated in St. Louis, Chicago, New York, Cincinatti, Baltimore and Philadelphia.
Although, another interesting, somewhat lesser option is the Pale Hose's Jose Quintana ($4900) pitching against the Astros. Quintana has been iffy, but he can indeed whiff hitters. Irrespective, if you need to gamble on points, that is where I would go.
There are a few fun hitting chances against ostensibly weaker pitchers in Jorge De La Rosa (1-2, 6.51), Jeremy Hellickson (2-2, 5.33), Erasmo Ramirez (2-2, 6.62) and rookie Chi Chi Gonzalez, making his first Major League start in Texas.
I personally like a couple of Marlins right-handers--Giancarlo Stanton ($6200) and Martin Prado ($3000)-- against lefty Jon Niese, but with the weather concerns all over, I will be checking my roster and making updates up to the very end.
Don't forget that you can indeed match up against the Mastersballers at FantasyScore.
