Thursday 19th Oct 2017

On Thursday, you can find me in my regular spot - the Mastersball Daily 50-50 GPP contest with $135 in prizes available for just a $5 entry fee. Do not delay if you want to join as the Mastersball contests continue to quickly fill up each day.

Here are a few of my picks.

On the pitching side, I really don’t like the options, especially with the day-game players unavailable. However, I went with Toronto’s R.A. Dickey, who draws the likely Albert Pujols-less Angels at Rogers Centre. The veteran knuckleballer’s 2015 ERA is over three runs better at home than on the road, making him an acceptable play at $4000.

In the early going, Josh Donaldson is enjoying his new home in Toronto with career-bests in all slash line categories to go with 28 RBI in 42 games. He draws Matt Shoemaker today. In their only matchups to date, the third baseman is 2-for-3 against the Halos’ hurler. I think the $5800 is worth it.

Another player off to the hottest start of his career is Cleveland’s Jason Kipnis. The second sacker draws John Danks of the White Sox, against whom he has collected seven RBI in 26 career at-bats and has a respectable .855 OPS.

Play along with us here.
