FScore-160x320With the middle of the week here, there are a number of great starting pitching choices available at the Mastersball 50/50 Challenge, but for today's fun, I am shying away from the top arm (Matt Harvey @ $9100), going for a pair of slightly lesser, but no less successful arms in Francisco Liriano ($6300) and Gio Gonzalez($5800) versus the Phillies, and Diamondbacks, respectively.

On the hitting side, again, I am going to pick not just on the Diamondbacks, but Jeremy Hellickson and his 1.73 WHIP, which is just too tempting to not exploit, so I am happy to play the hottest hitter this side of the Crab Nebula, Bryce Harper ($6300).

While it is true predicting/playing a streak is pretty much impossible, a hitter in the zone is a hitter in the zone, and Oakland's Marcus Semien ($4400) is surely that, and I like him against lefty Wade Miley, and as long as I am favoring Bay Area sticks, similarly I like Andrew Susac ($1900) who is listed to start against another Southpaw, Brett Oberholtzer making his first start of the year, returning from the DL.

Good luck with your plays, and remember you can take me on for bragging rights at Fantasy Score.

Susac is wicked v lefties, and Oberholtzer is a soft tosser, so i like that match-up, but...i do like your Posey play because he will likely start at first.

Quoting alleyoops:
p - harvey, hammel (many good options, but these two in a game with a 6.5 over/under seems the way to go)
c - posey
1b - hosmer
2b - dozier
3b - plouffe
ss - semien
of - harper, paredes, span

Swapped in freeman for hosmer due to weather concerns in Texas.

Wouldn't go with Susac, on a day where there are many good, cheap hitters with good matchups, and SPs aren't all that pricy. I think Plouffe's a much better "punt", if you're trying to save $ to spend elsewhere.
