For Thursday, my choice was again an easy one - the Mastersball Daily 50-50 GPP contest with $135 in prizes available for just a $5 entry fee. Today’s population is American League only - but hurry if you want to join as the Mastersball contests have been quickly filling up each day.

Here are a few of my picks.

Toronto’s Devon Travis has ignited MLB’s number one run-scoring offense and as such, the second baseman is $5200, but should continue to be worth every penny as long as he remains red hot.

I know Shelby Miller well from his time in St. Louis, and while he may never be a number one starter, the right hander is off to a good start with Atlanta. Today’s clincher is that he faces the struggling Cincinnati offense.

Speaking of that game, Braves shortstop Andrelton Simmons is a stealth pick. Up against Reds starter Mike Leake, Simmons has a career .500 average in 10 at-bats, making him a $2300 bargain.

Play along with us here.

Picked a great night to sit this one out. Would have been on Sale and Blue Jays stack.

Z and I are almost the same, save Gattis, Laronche, Alexi and Springer.

Looks like the weather will be OK in CLE. Pierzynski not starting. Options at C not very appealing, so decided to punt C, with J.McCann.

Micah Johnson is starting, but no interest in punting 2b when there are great options there.

crap. I was looking at the Sunday starters! But, I took Sale and Altuve, but thanks Ooops. I was writing on my Shandler Park (monthly) league which starts its next cycle Sunday, and was looking at that lineup.

Um - Cueto's not pitching tonight, and Johnson's not in the lineup. With Travis and Altuve having very nice matchups, hard to see a reason to go with someone else at 2b tonight.

I went Cueto, and Micah Johnson, and agree with Oops on PIerzinski and Brian on Miller.

Sorry - weather concerns in Cleveland, not Cincy.

p- Sale, Miller (Strasburg/deGrom less win potential, Miller cheap)
c - Pierzynski (still way underpriced, vs Leake)
1b - MiCabrera (vs Duffy)
2b - Altuve (coin flip with Travis, vs Paxton)
ss - Iglesias (saving $, vs Duffy)
3b - Donaldson (vs House)
of - Bautista (vs House)
of - Springer (vs Paxton)
of - Marisnick (vs Paxton)

Lineups not out yet, weather may be iffy in Cincy. Starting Miller created room for some hitters, played l/r matchups vs average/poor pitchers.
