Remember that the baseball season is a marathon and not a sprint. It is ok to pass on a day or two to breathe the air or if you just don’t like the MLB slate. I sat out on Wednesday to take in a high school baseball playoff game in the prospect hotbed of Palm Beach County. There are several players that have a chance to beat the odds and five years from now, it would be fun to have Cody Wilson or Mack Lemieux (both from Jupiter High School) in my daily fantasy lineups.
As for Friday, we have a full slate of 15 night games in play. I have to continue to play Palm Beach County product Devon Travis ($2800) at second base. He is still only the 14th highest priced player at the position. He will not continue to hit near .400, but anyone that has seen him hit in the Minors knows that this kid hits the ball hard all the time.
On the pitching side, I am going back to Scott Kazmir ($5000) at home against Houston. Kazmir scored 17 points with eight strikeouts on April 13 against these same Houston Astros.
Don't forget you can play against the other Mastersballers and me at Fantasy Score.
