Pitching (once again) and weather (still) dominate the Wednesday FantasyScore Mastersball 50/50 Challenge selections, so if you are out to play daily, and especially challenge us, note that the mid-South--that is Texas--is gearing up for hail the size of baseballs which will hurt a windshield, but are hard to throw.
Similarly, wet weather could creep into the East, so pay attention to who is playing inside, outside, and simply where it is dry.
Yesterday I went with the cheap control pitchers (Mark Buehrle and Brett Anderson) and though Buehrle got a win, neither hurler helped that much, so today I am looking at strikeouts and more dominance, starting with Johnny Cueto ($8700), thinking the Brewers might be due, but are still struggling enough that a top arm can bring them down.
As for hitters, I again like the San Diego sticks playing in the Rockies (which appears to be clear of the inclimate), and am taking a low-end shot with Jedd Gyorko, who is indeed still struggling (.163-0-3) but who has put up positive points for the past five days.
Gyorko has some serious pop, as we know, and Coors is a good place to tie into it.
Good luck with your selections today, and remember, you can match up against Rob, Marc, and me at FantasyScore Mastersball 50/50 Challenge.
