San Francisco Giant 3B Pablo Sandoval broke the hamate bone in the hamate bone on his left hand. Sandoval was placed on the disabled list and will be out 4-6 weeks. Sandoval had the same bone break on his right hand last year. The Giants have recalled Conor Gillaspie from Triple-A and he will presumably get first shot at the hot corner.
