Looking Back at a Draft

With the NFFC Playoffs now over (and our one Online league winner struggling to 60th in the playoffs) I spent a little time looking at “What could have been.”  In the 14th round, the two picks right after we selected the Baltimore Ravens Defense were Darren Sproles and Cam Newton.  We wanted Chris Johnson with the fourth pick in the first round and we got him.  The next two players selected were LeSean McCoy and Maurice Jones-Drew.  Every non-kicker/defense selected in rounds 17 through 20 were complete throw-aways with the exception of Victor Cruz, selected in the 17th round.  Kudos to the guy who selected Cruz.  After catching a total of two passes for 17 yards in the first two games of the season, he did not cut him.  We waited to select a tight end and selected Kellen Winslow Jr. at the end of round seven.  The next two tight ends selected were Rob Gronkowski and Tony Gonzalez.
